Birthday Shenanigans!

Birthday Shenanigans!

Last week was nothing short of amazing and with my birthday shenanigans over and out, I wanted to share with ‘ you’z’  what I got up to!. From my last post I’m sure you all gathered I’m a big fan of celebrating life joys as a whole. This year I wanted something relaxing,  a prayer answered thanks to Sunny @ ‘book your lifestyle’  who booked me in for some Individual Lash Extensions at ‘Belle-Cour Beauty Salon’ in Westminster.

Sceptical to begin as I heard Individual Lash Extensions can at times rip your natural lashes and the type of lash and glue brand can mess your eyes up especially if you're allergic plus when it comes to your you have to be super careful. Fast forward! I did my research, and with great reviews saying my doubts,  I arranged my booking and spent that morning on my back getting these beauties put in.

I would advise booking a 1hr & 30 mins session in order to get the best look if you are thinking natural. The salon was nice and clean and the staff were really friendly making the whole experience great! I then headed over to West End to get a few bits then went back for a manicure and pedicure. I keep hearing about S’N’S nails so had to try it!.  It’s almost been a week and I’m addicted.  I love that it’s done on your natural nails and they don’t file off layers which leave that natural thickness on the finger nail.

I will keep dong this for the next few months saving me having to paint my nails every few days. Chipped nails drive me nuts and as I woman I think its nice to have them looking good ,even if its not polished, they could be neatly filed down with clear varnish. I am so late to the this ‘nail party’ but hey!.

I then concluded my bday with dinner at ‘ Inamo’ , James booked this ages ago and despite me not wanting to go I felt bad so got dressed. This place is so cool, they serve pan-Asian cuisine with a unique interactive table surface technology. You could Play games, watch chef-cam, even draw on your table! James had my pictures sent to them prior, so as soon as I walked in, I spotted our table. The food was yummy !! So worth that train commute. Overall I had such a lovely day!

Errands in Prints!

Despite waking up on the right side of the bed, It comes to no surprise I can't say the same about the weather. We have had sporadic bursts of warmth but it’s still pretty nippy!. These last few days have been destructably windy so much so if it wasn’t for the fact I already carry a massive handbag and gym bag that gravitates me to the tarmac roads, I would have been swept away to wherever. Thing is, we all know you can never bank on the 'Great British forecast' but rather dress to your own peril so for me dressing up is a calculated task.

With errands galore and a lunch late, I couldn't start my day with heels, so I opted for a less restrictive top, skinny jeans and contrasting shoes and matching clutch. I also finished the look with my favourite and warm camel coat, and of course some sunnies, and with only four hours of sleep, I will need them!.

Travel SkinKit!

Getting ready and set for a quick break is always cumbersome when thinking of which beauty essentials to carry.  I’m sure many of you beauties can empathize with me on how annoying short haul flight restrictions can be when it comes to liquids. Do you? Like me, struggle with placing all your liquids in that one small clear bag avoiding luggage check-in fees?!. Applauds to miniature Inventions, we can just about carry the essentials because It’s certainly not worth making your skin suffer whilst away.

I came across this brand ‘Rituals’ in the summer, captivated by the intricate floral in-store and window display on Kings road, I had to try it!.. and yes I can swear by it for my skin!. I have had the blessing of travelling to Kenya, Greece and Portugal this year and these products were perfect for the sunny weather. My skin always felt hydrated, soft and radiant. They all came in a travel gift set including this beautiful silk hand balm. I couldn’t resist adding the organic deodorant at checkoutfor £1.50.. do you blame me?

If you every want a convenient quick holiday skin regime I would advise this set. I will soon share my actual regime which includes eye care, and skin hydration and a few tricks I have learnt with time.

To round up, I’m sure you can spot the odd one out from this kit right?!. Well!. That’s my current essential I take alongside my ‘rituals’ travel kit. One of the best beauty tips ever, you can put the hydrating spray under your moisturiser, spray it throughout the day for a burst of moisture and freshness and even use it for your night regime! Your skin will love it.

Mule'S!

Hello my lovelies. I hope you are all doing well.  As Fashion Week Fever winds down and ‘Stylist Live’ approaches, we know its time to start working on getting our autumn transitional closets in tune. Today’s share is perfect for our current mild English weather. I picked up this comfy asymmetric loose fit dress for my day look, teaming it with my leather jacket as soon as it got nippy!!  Feet wise, these mules were a more simple opt for refreshing my everyday basics. I love the suede and gold contrast!

End Of Summer- 'Bank Hol'!

End Of Summer- 'Bank Hol'!

Ha! haaa!! Okay, so this post actually did not post so here's to take two!!!- Giggles in shame. My post scheduler failed me and I lazily did not check.

The Irony is:- I can actually recall my inner voice tell me on various occasions to check! A lesson learnt! 'Listening and Obeying saves you regret'. So forgive me please  and let's pretend it never happened. Here goes!!!!......

With our Summer bank Holiday weekend over, many can assent to the sadness of going back to our accustomed (9-5 )routines. I do love my Job, the only thing I would change is, us not having to wear formal clothes on a hot sunny day, and maybe adding a nice roof top terrace with ' plants galore',  in addition to  my  current window view (mmhhhhhhh Yess!!!!) - ‘Okay!!! I admit, it’s never going to happen’  hence me ‘ wishing’. So sunny days like these find me sitting by the river bank during my lunch break soaking up every bit of sunshine  with a nice read and salad.

I hope you all had a good one. As for me, I spent  my Friday and Saturday confined to my four walls due to a migraine,  my Sunday at 'CHURCH :) ' and Monday by the sea-side. I wanted something super comfy and airy for the weekend so loose pants and a satin top worked perfectly well. Unfortunately I never got a chance to ( pap) my trip to ‘ South- End on Sea’, apart from the yummy grilled Sea Bass fillet, fries and salad!. The up side is?!.. I promised myself to go back , so will certainly make a post of it!
